What is Forgotten Bastions?
Forgotten Bastions is essentially a Gaslamp Fantasy Series. There is a Hard Magic system with technology similar to what you would find in the 1800s. Straying away from classical fantasy, the none-human creatures that inhabit the Universe are unique, yet have a realistic and tangible quality.

Trogs prefer the gloom of darkness to the bright light of the sun. Either living in caves or only coming out at night. Like bats (a lot like them) the navigate mainly off of sound. Their bodies change and adjust to the task they perform.
To ensure the universe is consistent, Ziah personally reviews and edits all stories belonging to Forgotten Bastions. Nothing breaks the immersive experience like conflicting rules of reality, unrealistic limitations, exaggerated plot lines, and inconsistent characters.

Ziah Miller's title when introduces at book fairs/festivals/comic-cons is, Critically acclaimed best-selling author... but his day job is making video games.
Ziah wrote his debut novel Maggie Turncoat in 2020, giving a slight glimpse of a rich universe he has been working on since his teens. In 2021 Maggie Turncoat was featured by critics (most notably Kirkus Magazine) as one of the best fantasy books of 2021.
Ziah has been creative all his life, doing concept art and video game design professionally since age 18. He is a full-time game developer who creates engaging game play enjoyed by millions. He has worked in ever aspect of game development, artwork, design, project management, and is currently a software engineer.
He loves his career as a game developer, and thrives in his hobbies writing stories; both aspects increasing his skill-set in entertaining others with adventures only one can dream about. He is actively seeking others to work with in creating unforgettable stories and experiences.
