Jamie Pendant.
While appearing in each book and being one of Ziah Miller's favorite characters, she has no book of her own.

At 16 Jamie started her military career as a field medic's assistant. She witnessed the cruel world while trying to save dying companions, failing many times. At 18 she watched helplessly as her father's squad was sacrificed by the king she supported. She was unable to save him.

She has been apart of many factions, searching for order and proper justice. Yet each time she finds herself on the side that is irredeemable.

At 31 Jamie is promoted to the rank of colonel for the Queen of High Desert. She is one of the main obstacles for Maggie Turncoat.

At 33 she protects and helps mentor the Twin Souls.

What is Forgotten Bastions?

Forgotten Bastions is essentially a Gaslamp Fantasy Series. There is a Hard Magic system with technology similar to what you would find in the 1800s. Straying away from classical fantasy, the none-human creatures that inhabit the Universe are unique, yet have a realistic and tangible quality.

Creature spotlight

Trogs prefer the gloom of darkness to the bright light of the sun. Either living in caves or only coming out at night. Like bats (a lot like them) the navigate mainly off of sound.
To ensure the universe is consistent, Ziah personally reviews and edits all stories belonging to Forgotten Bastions. Nothing breaks the immersive experience like conflicting rules of reality, unrealistic limitations, exaggerated plot lines, and inconsistent characters.

A talented development team has been working on a Simple Tap RTS. To ensure they have a great story to lead the player through, they have reached out to Ziah Miller. He has worked with them to bring his universe of Forgotten Bastion to fill in the game with deep and rich lore.
The game will be multi-player with a rich customization option. Play with friends and build a unique army.

About Author Ziah Miller

Ziah Miller's title when introduces at book fairs/festivals/comic-cons is, Critically acclaimed best-selling author... but his day job is making video games.
Ziah wrote his debut novel Maggie Turncoat in 2020, giving a slight glimpse of a rich universe he has been working on since his teens. In 2021 Maggie Turncoat was featured by critics (most notably Kirkus Magazine) as one of the best fantasy books of 2021. 
Ziah has been creative all his life, doing concept art and video game design professionally since age 18. He is a full-time game developer who creates engaging game play enjoyed by millions. He has worked in ever aspect of game development, artwork, design, project management, and is currently a software engineer.
He loves his career as a game developer, and thrives in his hobbies writing stories; both aspects increasing his skill-set in entertaining others with adventures only one can dream about. He is actively seeking others to work with in creating unforgettable stories and experiences.

Does a lot of the art himself

Ziah starts off most of his art with paper, pencil, and pen. Finishing up with a tablet and Photoshop.
